New Year, New York

2015 came much too quickly, and before I even survived Christmas (heck, Thanksgiving), the new year arrived and I was on another plane to another city. New year, New York I headed. With my metro card in hand and comfy sneakers on, I hit the ground running for a busy week of activities.

My favorite thing about New York City is how photogenic it is. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a photo of this city must tell at least ten thousand more…

I’ll share more pictures from the street in the upcoming entries, but since this is the first post of the year, it wouldn’t be right for me to not have some eye candy for the fashionistas out there, right?!

Let’s go inside…I am dying to see what will make my final buy list from the 2015 Paris-Dubai resort collection:

This is a runway pic from (my bible) Style.com:

And this is out it went down in the real world:

Anyway, none of those looks made the cut, but something from this rack totally did (more on that later):

It was getting dark by the time I got out of Soho, and snow flurries even made an appearance.

Little did I know that there would be real snow in the days to come. But NYC for me is a state of mind, a state of being in the very here and now. Amidst all the pushing and shoving and hustle bustle of the crowds, I find it difficult to think long term. I just have to survive the elements of the day and make it to dinner 😀 ! BTW, I highly suggest a bowl of ramen at Totto Ramen when you need something to warm the chills that are swirling in the air then down the back of your spine. The place can get packed, but it’s worth the wait.

I hope your new year is starting with a bang. I’m happy to begin another year with you dear readers and can’t wait to bring the world and more eye candy to your screen!
