So I’m in Taipei, deciphering my fortune cookie messages (wondering if that means one of my successful work projects will take me finally to base camp at Mount Everest!). And all I have to show for Taipei are these photos:
Aren’t those cool wooden music boxes?
Love the ones with the Eiffel Tower and ballerinas on a carousel but I can’t fit them all in my luggage, so after 30 minutes of indecision on little sleep, this is the one that made it home:
Oh hello, Hermès! Shall we take two more looks at this sterling silver version of the iconic Collier de Chien (CDC) bracelet? Here’s one side,
and here’s the other:
Oh BTW, my robot music box walks to the song Wonderful Life. I think I made the right choice.
The collier de chien–literally translated as dog collar–bracelet has been an Hermès staple for decades now and continues to be a key accessory adorning fashionista/o arms around the world. It comes in a variety of materials and hardware, but I have only been tempted by the sterling silver version for both its simplicity and over-the-top dual personalities. It did take a while to track down this smallest size to fit my wrist, but good things come to those who wait 😀 . Here’s a shot of it on my arm with the plastic still on the ring. Isn’t it great fun to celebrate your birthday when it’s not your birthday?!
What do you say we put my passport away for a few entries and go back to talking about ODJs?!
Love your purchases. Normally I’m a fan of H but Iim mor interested in the music box. Can u share where in Taipei you purchased this from.
I enjoyed reading your blog. Thanks for sharing. The musical box is very cool. Loved that it is wooden. Do you mind sharing where you get the robot music box? My family is going to Taiwan in August and would like to get one for myself. Thanks
Love the CDC! The robot is so cool, can’t believe that’s a music box.
BTW, also love the Missoni for Target luggage! 🙂
