The Chanel Jacket Diaries, Part 5

I’ve yet to meet a black jacket I can’t rationalize my way into owning, but color is still a work in progress for me. Blacks, greys, olives, and similarly muted shades line my comfort zone. And yet, there’s something about a saturated, deep fuchsia pink that will always ring a bell in my fashion heart. It’s almost as if there were a tiny Emilio Pucci prancing inside my austere Jil Sander head just waiting to toll that bell when I least expect it. Here’s photographic proof of the pink attacks:

The Chanel Jacket Diaries, Part 5: So it should be no surprise that one of these diary entries would revolve around a pink boucle tweed jacket. It is the classic 4-pocket, jewel collar silhouette in a fun color from the 09A season. Two large detachable camellia brooches can be pinned anywhere depending on whimsy.

I love a good suit, but this might be too much pink together, no?

A girl can dream!
