Target + NM Collab

The first week in December roared off with me flying some 25,000 miles within a matter of 7 days. And wouldn’t you know it, the long hyped Target + Neiman Marcus collaboration had to launch on the day I was out of town! But the beauty of travel with WiFi is that when your internal clock is all messed up from the time changes, you can be still be quite productive even when you should be sleeping. So around 3am at some hotel in Orlando, I powered up my laptop and managed to order the ONLY one item I truly wanted from this entire collection, the Thom Browne shrunken blazer. Here it is, in an XS, shown over a white tshirt:

Speaking of the cropped men’s blazer look, I also snagged this piped fuchsia stretch knit one from the GAP, on sale for half the price of the Target/NM one. It’s size P0, so the shrunken look is even more exaggerated.

I love tiny jackets over cropped pants, which I want to wear with the quilted Chanel le smoking loafers that to my dismay cannot find anywhere. Apparently completely sold out in the US as soon as they hit the stores while I was away in Europe earlier this year. And the European boutiques seemingly did not order this particular style. Le smoking becomes le sigh. Now I wish I had gotten the Prada version of these loafers while in Paris as I cannot find those back in the States. Double sighs.

Anyway, I’ll close out this entry with some pics from Orlando where I attended a wedding. For the wedding ceremony I paired a pale blush crisp silk Prada dress with Chanel peep-toe pumps and the mini flap bag:

The dress has major ruching in the back for a modern twist:

For the dinner portion, I wore a long jersey knit dress accented with a Chanel camellia rhinestone brooch at the waist. I don’t even know the label; just something I grabbed off the rack because it looked so comfy. Which totally turned out to come in handy when it’s obligatory these days at weddings to do some kind of line dancing Gangnam style…

But my favorite accessory of the entire day? Five-weeks-old Jacob!

I must have held him for about six hours throughout that day and somehow managed to escape diaper duty. I know, I don’t always look like a babysitter any parent should trust, but hey, the alcohol was for me, not the baby:

Next entry? Part two to my road to adoption. Now this is one baby you will want to hear about!
